John R. Baumann, Senior Consultant and Director, Business Development.

Mr. Baumann has 15 years experience in advertising and marketing. In addition to his role as senior consultant with 5-Star Consulting, he is president of Interim Management Group. Previously, he was president of Interlaken Publishers, president of Maharishi Ayurveda Corporation of America, senior member of KPMG Peat Marwick, administrative advisor at Jewish Hospital, and assistant business manager at Washington Medical School. He received a Bachelor of Science in professional accounting from Southern Illinois University.

David M. Hawthorne, M.S., Consultant and President.

Mr. Hawthorne began his career in advertising and marketing in 1970, as an account executive with Max Walter Advertising. Since then he has served as vice president, Mall Publications; director of marketing, Center for Aerospace Education; director of marketing communications, Westbridge Research Group; vice president of advertising, Corporate Education Resources; and president, HR Direct. He teaches university courses in advertising and professional writing, and conducts on-site corporate seminars called, “The Seven Keys to Direct Mail Success”.
